Chicago goes Green for St. Patrick’s Day
Chicago’s Chicago River turns Green in Celebration of St. Patrick’s Day!
This Saturday, March 15th at 9:30 orange dye will be dumped via boat into the Chicago river, reacting with the algae in the water to turn the river bright green.
The dyeing will start start at Wabash and Wacker and will continue until Columbus Dr. Best to get early along the riverwalk and watch this phenomena! This is a forty year tradition that is privately funded.
A note of caution:
Given the spike of alcohol infused activies this weekend we encourage everyone to designate a driver and please be safe! We are offering 10% off charters on the actual holiday. Don’t drink and drive!
