New Terminal 5 to open at O’Hare in April
Westfield Shopping Center reveals a new Terminal for International Traveler’s at Chicago O’Hare.
Chicago’s O’Hare Airport International Terminal 5 is nearing the end of an 18-month, $26-million revamp that will result in a world-class experience for international visitors.
Westfield, a major shopping center developer, was in charge of the remodeling and upgrading of Terminal 5.
The video showcases luxurious amenities and retail opportunities. Compared to the current state of the terminal, this seems to be a great improvement.
The fact is that just about anything Westfield did to Terminal 5 would have been an improvement over what was there.
But because Westfield is in the full-time business of developing shopping centers, the new Terminal 5 is expected to reflect the overarching sensibility of a company that truly understands what an optimal retail experience is all about.
Altogether, the new Terminal 5 will include eighteen new restaurants and retail boutiques. Travelers will find a large duty free shop just past the security checkpoint that also will incorporate four high-end retail boutiques.
Chicago’s Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises will operate five new restaurants, including an airport variation on R.J. Grunts and a bar called the Urban Olive.
